Our story
In 1986, Mark and Nancy Gray founded GrayCara Assisted Living with a vision of creating a true home for seniors in Keenesburg. For over 30 years, they dedicated themselves to building and operating the community with compassion, integrity, and a family-centered approach to care.
In 2023, when the facility faced closure, a resident’s family purchased the community to ensure their mother—and every resident—could continue to call it home. With that heartfelt decision, the property was reimagined as Colorado Assisted Living Communities—doing business as Charleston at Keenesburg.
Today, Charleston at Keenesburg continues the Gray family’s legacy: a close-knit residence where every individual is known by name, valued, and cared for like family.
